The Super Eagles have brushed aside the noise around head coach Eric Chelle ahead of their second AFCON 2025 Group C fixture, with Akor Adams insisting the squad fully trusts the manager’s tactical direction as Nigeria prepares to face Tunisia.

Nigeria will be heading into Saturday’s clash buoyed by a 2-1 opening win over Tanzania, a result that placed early points on the board, Footballrover reports.

Tunisia will also arrive in strong form after a 3-1 victory against Uganda, setting up a decisive Group C encounter.

Adams, who featured against Tanzania and struck the crossbar and almost set up a goal for Victor Osimhen, made it clear the players believe in the man on the touchline.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, the forward said:

“He knows what is best for every game, and in the previous games he has shown that he knows what he is doing.

“We trust him, and he will come up with the best possible way.”

Super Eagles target Tunisia win with belief intact

The Sevilla striker remains confident the Super Eagles have the tools to secure maximum points against the North Africans, pointing to Nigeria’s playing style and intensity.

“Compared to the North Africans, we in the west have intensity; we play with a lot of aggression, so we have what it takes to do the job. So against Tunisia we have to come out as always, be prepared and see what happens.”

As preparations continue, the Super Eagles returned to the training pitch on Wednesday to fine-tune plans for the Tunisia showdown, with focus firmly on building momentum in AFCON 2025.
