However, despite her heroics, one surprising statistic continues to linger over her impressive season, Footballrover reports.

Edna Imade ends goal drought after 25 days

After scoring in six consecutive games, Imade went three matches without a goal contribution.

It had been 25 days since she last found the net, making her strike against Espanyol a long-awaited relief.

The Nigerian forward pulled Granada level in the 65th minute with a well-taken strike that ricocheted off the woodwork before crossing the line.

Just two minutes later, Ariadna Mingueza unleashed a stunning long-range effort to secure all three points for the home side at Ciudad Deportiva del Granada.

Missed penalty adds drama to Imade’s redemption

Granada found themselves trailing after Lice Chamorro’s 30th-minute long-range strike put Espanyol ahead.

Imade had a golden opportunity to equalize just before halftime, but her penalty was saved by the opposition goalkeeper, adding tension to her performance.

Despite the missed chance, she redeemed herself in the second half with a goal that reignited Granada’s fightback.

Edna Imade has now taken her Liga F tally to 12 goals in 19 appearances, starting 17 of those matches and accumulating 1,545 minutes on the pitch.

Surprisingly, despite creating 14 scoring chances and completing over 192 passes this season, Imade is yet to register an assist.

Nevertheless, her match-winning contribution earned her the Player of the Match award before she was substituted in the 82nd minute for Ornella Vignola.

With her goal drought now behind her, Edna Imade will be looking to see if she can break another barrier and finally add an assist to her season’s stats.
