The AC Milan loanee shared a very close bond with his mother, often spending time with her during visits to Nigeria.

One emotional moment that stayed with fans was a viral video of her praying for him before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Many expected the loss to affect his performances, but the winger responded with resilience.

He was named in Fulham’s starting lineup for their Premier League clash against Manchester United last week, showing trust from the coaching staff during a difficult period.

Silva Praises Chukwueze’s Mentality at Fulham

Although Fulham suffered a narrow 3–2 defeat to Manchester United, the Nigerian international delivered an energetic display.

He pushed forward with intent, tracked back defensively, and remained involved throughout the match, even if he did not register a goal or assist.

Ahead of Fulham’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Everton, Silva spoke openly about the Super Eagles star.

The Fulham boss highlighted Chukwueze’s mindset and daily attitude at the club.

“He took a decision to play; he feels very well here. It’s been a tough moment for him and his family. Nice to see him smiling every day. Nice to see him with us,” Silva said, as reported by Jack Kelly.

Chukwueze is expected to remain part of Fulham’s plans this weekend and is in contention to start again.

Due to a busy schedule, he is likely to wait until the summer before returning to Nigeria for his mother’s burial.

For now, his focus remains on helping Fulham end the season strongly. The London club currently sit ninth on the Premier League table, seven points off the Champions League places.

With a good run of results, European qualification is still within reach.
