The countdown is officially over—Rivers United 2025/26 NPFL fixtures are here, and fans can now mark their calendars for an action-packed season.

From a challenging opener away to Remo Stars on August 22, 2025, to a potentially decisive final day at home against Katsina United on May 24, 2026, the Pride of Rivers face a mix of fierce rivalries, tough away trips, and must-win home games, Footballrover reports.

With every matchday presenting a different challenge, this season could be one of the most unpredictable in recent years for the Finidi George’s men.

Rivers United 2025/26 NPFL Fixtures Begin with Tough Away Trip

In matchday one, the Pride of Rivers will travel down to Ikenne, where they will be hosted by defending champions Remo Stars on August 22, 2025.

In matchday two, Rivers United will return to Port Harcourt to welcome Kwara United on August 31. Just a week later, they hit the road again, heading to Maiduguri for a clash with El-Kanemi Warriors on September 7.

Matchday four sees them back at home to face Shooting Stars on September 14, before a trip to Kano to tackle Barau on September 21 for matchday five.

The Pride of Rivers then host Niger Tornadoes on September 28 (matchday six) before traveling to Aba for one of the league’s most heated rivalries against Enyimba International on October 5.

Matchday eight will be a home test against Bayelsa United on October 12, followed by a visit to Benin to face Bendel Insurance on October 18. They wrap up October by hosting Ikorodu City on the 24th.

November starts with a home tie against Nasarawa United (Nov 2), then an away trip to Owerri against Kun-Khalifat (Nov 9), and a return to Port Harcourt to host Wikki Tourists (Nov 16).

They end November with a tough visit to Jos to play Plateau United (Nov 23) before welcoming Kano Pillars to the Garden City on November 30 for matchday 15.

Key Mid-Season Battles in Rivers United 2025/26 NPFL Fixtures

December begins with a trip to face Abia Warriors (Dec 7), then a home meeting with Wikki Tourists (Dec 14), an away clash at Katsina United (Dec 21), and a massive Port Harcourt showdown against Rangers International (Dec 27).

The new year kicks off with an away trip to Enugu against Rangers on January 7, 2026, followed by a home clash with Remo Stars (Jan 12).

A week later, they welcome Enyimba International (Jan 18), then El-Kanemi Warriors (Jan 25), before traveling to Ibadan to face Shooting Stars (Feb 1).

In February, Rivers United play Barau at home (Feb 11), Niger Tornadoes away (Feb 16), and Enyimba International again at home (Feb 22).

March begins with a trip to Yenagoa to face Bayelsa United (Mar 1) and a home tie against Bendel Insurance (Mar 9), followed by away games against Ikorodu City (Mar 15) and Nasarawa United (Mar 23).

Rivers United Close Out Season at Home

The final stretch starts with a home tie against Kun-Khalifat (Mar 29), an away trip to Warri Wolves (Apr 6), and Plateau United in Port Harcourt (Apr 12).

They then visit Kano Pillars (Apr 19), Kun-Khalifat away (May 3), Wikki Tourists away (May 10), and finally wrap up their 2025/26 NPFL campaign at home against Katsina United on May 24, 2026.
