Rinsola Babajide had a fantastic outing on Saturday afternoon, scoring her first Serie A Femminile goal of the season to help Roma claim a well-deserved 4-0 victory over Parma Calcio 1913 at the Stadio Tre Fontane.
The Super Falcons forward found the net in the 28th minute, doubling Roma’s advantage after Alice Corelli had opened the scoring early in the game, Footballrover reports.
Rinsola Babajide Leads Roma’s Early Surge
Babajide’s crucial strike lifted the atmosphere among the home fans and set the tone for a dominant display.
Babajide’s goal was her first in the Italian league this season, adding to the one she scored in the Serie A Women’s Cup.
The 27-year-old Nigerian international now boasts two goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Roma.
Roma started strongly, with Corelli firing the hosts ahead just nine minutes into the contest. Babajide then struck 19 minutes later to make it 2-0, giving Roma a solid cushion going into the halftime break.
Roma’s Ruthless Second-Half Performance
The home side maintained their momentum after the restart. Manuela Giugliano added a third goal 11 minutes into the second half before Giulia Dragoni wrapped up the scoring in the 73rd minute.
Babajide, who played a key role in Roma’s attacking rhythm, made way for Giulia Galli four minutes after the fourth goal.
By then, the damage was already done as the defending champions cruised to an emphatic win.
This victory marks an excellent start to Roma’s Serie A Femminile campaign and provides a confidence boost as Rinsola Babajide and her teammates turn their focus to a crucial Women’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
