Barry Isaac Strikes First as FC Hegelmann Open Cup Doors with Quarterfinal Win

It was an exciting day at the office for Nigerian star Barry Isaac as he scored a crucial goal to ensure FC Hegelmann secured a well-deserved victory over Siauli FA during their Lithuanian LFF Cup quarterfinal single-leg clash on Thursday evening.

The 23-year-old defender delivered the opening goal of the Lithuanian Cup encounter as Hegelmann overpowered Siauli FA 3-1 at the LFF Kauno treniruočių centras, booking their place in the next stage of the competition, Footballrover reports.

Hegelmann wrapped up a lively win with a late flurry of goals.

Isaac broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute when he reacted quickly to a free-kick, bundling the ball into the net.

Carlos Duke then doubled the lead in the 81st minute to give the home side breathing space.

Siauli Fight Back But Fall Short in the End

Siauli threatened a comeback when Gabrielius Micevicius struck in the 85th minute.

However, substitute Patrick Popescu needed just three minutes on the pitch to restore the cushion, firing home in the 89th minute to wrap up the points for Hegelmann.

This victory marks Hegelmann’s third win in a row and they will now look to build on this momentum when they face Dainava Alytus in their A Lyga Round 24 clash on Sunday.
