Ahead of the crucial showdown against Remo Stars Ladies in the Nigeria Women Football League, Rivers Angels Coach Whyte Ogbonda has revealed that his team is under any kind of pressure.

The Jewels of Rivers are fully prepared to host Sky Blue Star Ladies in Port Harcourt for the Match Week 9 encounter of the Nigeria Women Premiership, Footballrover reports.

After a fruitless home game, coach Whyte Ogbonda is now working hard to turn things around at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium.

He voiced his belief in his team’s ability to defeat their opponents later today.

The coach claimed that his team has thoroughly prepared for the big game and that the players and coaching staff are ready for the task at hand.

“We’re fully prepared to take on Remo and secure a win,” Ogbonda said.

Coach Whyte reassured fans that the club is not under pressure after their recent draw against FC Robo Queens, claiming that their focus is on securing the most points possible in this particular game.

“We’re not feeling the pressure. Our goal remains clear: to secure all three points,” he said.

Coach Whyte stated that despite the disappointment of the draw with FC Robo, the team is united and prepared to face Remo Ladies.

Speaking to the team media, 26-year-old defender Ifeoma Ikenokwalu also expressed confidence in the team’s ability to secure all three points while counting on their supporters to stand by them.

“With their backing, we’re confident of securing a 2-0 victory,” she noted.

Both sides are now fully set for a heated rematch after their first meeting ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
