Nigerian striker Yusuf Otubanjo delivered a sensational performance to help Pyunik Yerevan secure a resounding 5-0 home victory over Tre Fiori in the Europa Conference League first qualifying round.

Otubanjo’s brace not only electrified the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium but also completed his side’s comeback in the tie, sending Pyunik through to the next round on a 5-1 aggregate, Footballrover reports.
Otubanjo Ignites Pyunik’s Comeback with Early Strike
After a narrow 1-0 loss in the first leg—thanks to a goal from Matteo Manfroni—Pyunik entered the second leg with renewed determination.

They came out like a team on a mission, eager to overturn the deficit and make a statement.
It took Otubanjo just 14 minutes to open the scoring, calmly converting a penalty that gave Pyunik the spark they needed.
Ten minutes later, Moreno Sanchez provided a brilliant assist for Alemao to double the lead and swing the momentum fully in Pyunik’s favour.

Just before halftime, Marius Noubissi increased the advantage with another penalty, leaving the Armenian side comfortably ahead at the break.
Yusuf Otubanjo Seals the Deal in Europa Conference League Thriller
The second half started with a scare for Pyunik as Tre Fiori were awarded a penalty in the 55th minute.
However, Matteo Prandelli failed to convert, missing a golden chance to bring his team back into the contest.

That miss opened the door for Otubanjo to shine again. The 32-year-old Nigerian forward struck his second goal of the night in the 85th minute, this time finishing off a precise pass from Matas Vareika to make it 4-0.
Four minutes later, Sargis Metoyan combined brilliantly with Tre Fiori’s Manfroni to wrap up the five-star performance with the fifth and final goal of the night.
Pyunik Yerevan dominated the match from the first whistle, registering 19 shots with 12 on target—compared to Tre Fiori’s six attempts and just two on goal.
The Nigerian forward had a massive impact in the game, proving once again why he remains a key figure for the Armenian side in their European campaign.
With the win, Otubanjo and his teammates have now advanced to the second round of the Europa Conference League qualifiers, carrying their momentum and confidence forward.
