The Foxes, spurred on by Ndidi’s opener, clawed their way to a crucial home win at the King Power Stadium, edging past Josh Maja’s West Brom side in the Midlands derby, Footballrover reports.

Despite Maja’s brief appearance of just eight minutes, Ndidi’s early strike and Jamie Vardy’s goal in the second half proved decisive, breaking the Foxes’ streak of consecutive defeats.

The 27-year-old Nigerian midfielder opened the scoring for the Foxes on 22 minutes before Jamie Vardy doubled their lead in the second half.

Ndidi’s goal came after a scramble in the West Brom penalty area, with the Leicester midfielder reacting quickest to poke the ball home.

Despite Vardy’s missed penalty just before halftime, Leicester maintained their momentum, thanks in part to Choudhury’s crucial goal-line clearances in the second half.

Vardy then capitalised on a pinpoint cross from Fatawu to head home Leicester’s second goal.

West Brom pulled a goal back through Jed Wallace late in the game, but it proved to be a consolation as Leicester held on to secure all three points.

The win puts Leicester back on top of the Championship table, two points ahead of Ipswich Town, as they continue their title charge with 91 points from 43 games.
