In order to set up a tantalizing matchup against the competition’s reigning winners, The Pride of Rivers defeated Watanga FC 3-1 on aggregate.

Onoja told Rivers United Media;

“The spirit in camp has been warm and receptive. We know what Is at stake. We are not thinking about our opponent, we are thinking about ourselves, what we can do.”

He continued by saying that their goal in the competition is to completely defeat their rivals and that they don’t care who they are.

“As far as we are concerned, we are the champions of Nigeria and we have to play like champions. Our opponent what they are doesn’t really matter to us. We just have to do what we know how to do best, win.” – Onoja said.
