Alex Iwobi was in top form yet again for Everton, scoring a stunning goal, his first of the season, as the Frank Lampard team fell to a slim home defeat against Man United.
Manchester United defeated Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park on Sunday, returning to winning ways in the Premier League thanks to a first-half comeback.
After losing their first two games of the season, Everton welcomed Manchester United to Goodison Park in an effort to continue their six-match undefeated streak.
While Manchester United’s four-match winning streak in the league came to an abrupt stop following a 6-3 loss to rivals Manchester City last weekend, leaving Erik Ten Hag’s team four points away from the Champions League spots.
Everton got out to a fast start and they quickly took an early lead, barely five minutes into the game, thanks to a stunner from Alex Iwobi. However, fine finishing from Antony and Ronaldo – who scored his 700th club goal – were all the Red Devils needed to cruise past Frank Lampard’s men
