Nigerian goalkeeper Victor Sochima has just secured a phenomenal achievement, grabbing a league double with Jamus FC and putting his name in South Sudanese football history.

The former Rivers United goalie is celebrating a remarkable feat. His current team, Jamus FC of South Sudan, has just been crowned the 2024/2025 league champions, Footballrover reports.

This victory comes hot on the heels of their South Sudan FA Cup win just weeks before. What makes this even more impressive? Jamus FC went unbeaten in both competitions!

Jamus Sports Club’s journey to becoming the inaugural champions of the 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League was nothing short of dominant.

In their debut season, they finished without a single loss, capping it off with a resounding 5-1 victory over Al Hilal FC Wau last Saturday.

Christian Theodore drew first blood for Jamus SC at the Juba National Stadium after just ten minutes.

George Rodriguez then added two more goals before the halftime whistle.

The scoring spree continued in the second half, with Mario Taban making it 4-0, followed by Rodriguez completing his hat-trick.

While Fadul Osman managed to pull one back for Al Hilal FC Wau, it was too little too late.

Jamus SC concluded the season with an impressive 68 points from 26 matches, boasting 21 wins and 5 draws.

Kator FC finished second with 62 points, and former champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu came in third with 58 points.

Celebrating the league double with Jamus FC

This season has been exceptional for Jamus SC. Besides the domestic double, the club have also lifted the Super Cup and the Zain South Sudan Cup.

Their outstanding performance means they will now represent South Sudan in the 2025/2026 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and the CECAFA Dar Port Kagame Cup.
