Victor Osimhen once again proved his playmaking abilities, delivering a crucial assist as Galatasaray triumphed 3-1 over Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
This was the Super Eagles star’s second goal involvement since joining Galatasaray on loan, Footballrover reports
He had already set the record rolling with an assist on his debut, inspiring a 4-0 win over Rizespor.
Galatasaray took the lead 20 minutes into the game, thanks to an own goal by Fenerbahce goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic.
Just eight minutes later, Osimhen worked his magic, providing a brilliant assist to Dries Mertens, who doubled the visitors’ advantage before halftime.
The Napoli striker, on loan, set up Mertens with a clever chest pass inside the box from a cross, allowing the Belgian to calmly slot his shot past the keeper.
Fifteen minutes into the second half, Gabriel Sara delivered Galatasaray’s third goal.
Though Edin Dzeko pulled one back for the hosts from the penalty spot three minutes later, it was too little, too late.
Osimhen played the full 90 minutes at the hostile Ulker Stadium Şükrü Saracoğlu.
Despite Fenerbahce dominating ball possession and goal attempts, Galatasaray walked away with the three points.

The Nigerian forward and his teammates are now riding a wave of form, with four consecutive league wins, scoring 16 goals and conceding just three in that stretch.
Galatasaray sits comfortably at the top of the table with 18 points, five ahead of second-placed Fenerbahce after six matches.
Up next, Galatasaray will face PAOK in a Europa League clash at Rams Park on Wednesday, and Osimhen will surely be key to keeping the momentum going.
