Nigerian forward Victor Olatunji continued his blistering start to the Czech Republic Chance Liga season, netting his second goal in two games as Sparta Prague crushed Teplice over the weekend.
The Sparta Prague substitute came off the bench to score the third goal in their 4-1 victory over Teplice at the AGC Arena Na Stinadlech on matchday two, Footballrover reports.
Olatunji’s goal was the icing on the cake for Sparta Prague, who dominated the encounter from start to finish.
A goalless first half gave way to an action-packed second period.
Martin Vitik broke the deadlock for Sparta Prague just two minutes after the restart, but Jaroslav Harustak levelled for Teplice in the 60th minute.
The visitors quickly regained control, with Lukas Haraslin restoring their lead a minute later.
The introduction of Olatunji in the 75th minute proved to be a game-changer.
The Nigerian striker replaced Czech Republic star Jan Kuchta and made an immediate impact, scoring his team’s third goal just 16 minutes after coming on.
It was a goal that effectively sealed the victory for Sparta Prague.
Olatunji’s goal was his second in the new campaign, following his match-winning strike in the 2-1 victory over FK Pardubice last week.
Ermal Krasniqi added a fourth goal for Sparta Prague in the dying minutes to complete a comprehensive 4-1 win.
The visitors dominated possession, creating numerous chances throughout the match.
With this victory, Sparta Prague head into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Shamrock Rovers with a significant advantage.
The Czech side holds a 2-0 lead from the first leg and will be looking to secure their place in the next round.
