Victor Moses has expressed deep frustration following the disappointing 3-1 defeat Luton Town faced against Plymouth Argyle in the Sky Bet Championship.
Despite scoring his first goal of the season, the Nigerian forward was left disheartened by the result and took to social media to share his thoughts on the match, Footballrover reports.
Luton, who had been aiming for a third consecutive victory, struggled to keep pace with Plymouth at Home Park.
The Hatters fell behind early and faced further setbacks, including a string of injuries that disrupted their momentum.
With three players forced off in quick succession, the team never fully regained their footing.
Moses strikes, but Luton falls short
Entering the game as a substitute for the injured Mads Andersen just before the hour mark, Moses tried to make an impact.
The 33-year-old finally found the back of the net in the 70th minute, reducing the deficit. However, his effort wasn’t enough to spark a full comeback, as Luton failed to turn the tide.
Despite the loss, Moses praised his teammates for their commitment, acknowledging the challenging circumstances they faced.
He also expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to recover and come back stronger.
Looking ahead to Oxford United clash
After the defeat, Moses took to X to thank the travelling fans for their support and to vow that the team would regroup and push forward:
“Gutted about the result last night. The boys gave everything. We will regroup and bounce back stronger. Thank you to our amazing travelling fans for their brilliant support,” he wrote.
