Luton Town have officially announced the signing of former Chelsea star Victor Moses as their new No. 7 on a permanent deal, pending international clearance.
The 33-year-old Nigerian, who was most recently flying the colours of Spartak Moscow, joins the Hatters as a free agent, Footballrover reports.
Moses made his move to Russia in 2021 after an impressive loan spell from Chelsea during the 2020/21 season.
Although the ex-Super Eagles star kicked off his football journey at Crystal Palace, where he made 69 appearances and scored 11 goals during his time at the then-Championship club.
In 2010, he made the leap to the Premier League, signing for Wigan Athletic in a £2.5 million deal.
Moses’ performances at Wigan saw him net nine times in 80 appearances, and Chelsea soon came calling with a £9 million move in the summer of 2012.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Moses won the Europa League in the 2012/13 season.
However, much of his Chelsea career was spent on loan, with stints at Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, Stoke City, and Fenerbahce.
Despite this, he still managed to make 128 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 18 goals and helping them win the Premier League and FA Cup in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
After sealing a permanent move to Spartak Moscow in 2021 for £4.5 million, Moses added the Russian Cup to his list of accomplishments.
Across his career, Moses has racked up nearly 550 matches, scoring 84 goals.
His international resume includes 38 caps for Nigeria, where he was part of two World Cup squads, and a memorable run in the Africa Cup of Nations.

He also featured in Europa League final with Inter Milan in 2020, narrowly losing to Sevilla.
Now, Moses is excited to embark on this new chapter at Luton Town, where he’s been handed the squad’s No. 7 shirt.
In his first interview with LTFC+, he revealed that he had received offers from Europe but was set on staying in the UK.
He also shared that he had spoken with the team Manager Rob Edwards and the club’s directors, who discussed the club’s plans and history, and he was keen to be part of its success.
“I want to come here and enjoy my football, work hard for the club and for the team, and get back to where we belong in the Premier League,” he noted
With his wealth of experience and determination, Moses aims to make an immediate impact and help Luton in their push to reach new heights.
