Victor Boniface came off the bench to score a dramatic stoppage time winner, securing a thrilling 4-3 victory for Bayer Leverkusen over Wolfsburg at the BayArena.
The Super Eagles star’s late strike snatched all three points for Leverkusen in a game filled with twists and turns, Footballrover reports.
With the score tied at 3-3, head coach Xabi Alonso introduced Boniface in the 66th minute to replace Patrick Schick.
The 23-year-old Nigerian wasted no time making his presence felt, firing home the decisive goal deep into stoppage time to seal the win.
Bonifaceās display came just a week after he bagged two goals in Leverkusenās 4-1 triumph over Hoffenheim.

The Nigerian forward now has three goals to his name in the Bundesliga this season.
Interestingly, his fellow countryman, Nathan Tella, was not included in Leverkusenās matchday squad for the game.
The match kicked off with an early setback for Leverkusen, as an own goal by defender Nordi Mukiele gave Wolfsburg the lead just five minutes in.
However, Florian Wirtz quickly equalised nine minutes later, and Jonathan Tahās strike in the 36th minute put Leverkusen ahead.
Wolfsburg responded with two quick goals from Sebastian Bornauw and Mattias Svanberg, taking a 3-2 lead into halftime.
But just four minutes after the break, Piero Hincapie levelled the score once again for Leverkusen.
Wolfsburgās chances took a hit when Yannick Gerhardt was shown a straight red card, reducing them to ten men.
Despite the numerical advantage, it took Bonifaceās stoppage-time goal to finally break the deadlock and separate the two sides.
