After surviving an accident scare, Super Eagles forwardĀ Victor Boniface made an impactful return to Bundesliga action for Bayer Leverkusen.

The hosts, who had previously been dismantled by Leverkusen last season, came with renewed determination.
Bremen’s Marvin Ducksch tested Leverkusenās goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky with several close calls, but it was Boniface who stole the show with his early strike.
