Nigerian star, Victor Boniface is having a great start to life in Germany as he scored his first competitive goal for Bayer Leverkusen in their 8-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year old Nigerian striker scored a debut-day goal in Bayer Leverkusen’s huge away win in DFB Pokal first round victory over FC Teutonia.
In the one-sided match at Millerntor Stadium, Bayer Leverkusen dominated Teutonia Ottensen with a commanding 8-0 victory.
The Leverkusen squad displayed teamwork, leaving their opponents struggling to keep up.
Edmond Tapsoba opened the scoring in the 16th minute, setting the tone for an action-packed game.
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward, Victor Boniface, added to the lead with a goal in the 42nd minute. It was never in doubt, his abilities in front of the net.
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz extended the lead further, netting a goal before the interval.
French star Amine Adli secured another point for Leverkusen in the 59th minute through a well-placed penalty shot.
But the onslaught didn’t end there, Jeremie Frimpong found the back of the net eight minutes later to extend the scoreline
21-year-old forward, Adam Hložek, was a force to be reckoned with, scoring twice in the 74th and 90th minutes, further solidifying Bayer Leverkusen’s dominance.
Before Jonas Hofmann put the finishing touch on the match, scoring in the nine minute to stoppage time to complete the rout.
