Congo Republic and Uganda postponed their quarter-final ticket qualifications till the last round of the group matches after playing out a 2-2 draw in Group B, Round 2, match of the on-going U20 AFCON.U20 AFCON: Congo Republic hold Uganda to draw

Two unmarked headers perfectly converted by two Congolese attackers accounted for the team’s two goals against Uganda in the CAF Africa Cup Of Nations.

Josna Loulenda and Amauvy Mombouli scored the two goals in the fifth and 72nd minutes of the first and second halves of the game, respectively.

Congo Republic was down 1-2 to Uganda until the 72nd minute, when Mombouli scored the equalizer by nodding in a corner kick from the left flank by Prince IIenda.

Uganda showed early signs of business in the 4th minutes of the first half with a fantastic breakthrough inside the eighteen yard box of Congo Republic, but goalkeeper Christophe Samba, reacted quickly to save his team from conceding early goal.

Josno Loulenda responded positively with a perfect header for Congo Republic’s first goal in the 5th minutes of the match.

Titus Ssematimba exploited the scrappy goalkeeping of the Congolese to level scores 1-1 for Uganda from a free kick outside the Congolese eighteen yard box.

Saidi Mayanja shot Uganda 2-1 ahead in 32nd minutes of the second first half before Amauvy Mombouli equalized for Congo Republic in 72nd minutes of the second half to end the match at 2-2.

Congo Republic leads Group B with 4 points after two rounds of matches.Uganda is placed second on the log with 4 points, while South Sudan is third with 3 points.

Central African Republic has zero point after two matches in the group.
