Tunisia, one of the five African representatives at Qatar 2022 World Cup, might have a slim chance of qualifying to the next stage of the global football championship if Denmark defeats defending champions, France, later today.
In Round 2, Group D, Tunisia lost 0-1 to second round group opponent, Australia.
Australian attacker – Mitchell Duke put the Socceroos ahead in 23rd minute of the first half of the match played at Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah.
The second half ended without any goal from both sides.
Tunisia has recorded only one point in the championship gained from the goalless draw against Denmark in the first match of the global football fiesta.
🚨FT: Tunisia 🇹🇳 0-1 Australia 🇦🇺
Carthage Eagles fail to pick points against Socceroos. Africans play very well going forward but live dangerously when defending.
A good game and important points for the Aussies.

With the victory against Tunisia in the second match of the group, Australia, has chalked up three points from two matches played after losing 1-4 to the defending World Cup Champions.
Australia managed to keep only the second clean sheet in their World Cup history & record their first win since 2010. A massive result for the Socceroos and it just wasn’t enough from Tunisia after their good performance against Denmark.
France at the other end, still leads the group with three points, and four goals advantage.
