Super Falcons star Toni Payne found the back of the net to rescue her team, Sevilla, from a potential defeat during their game against Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish women’s league on Sunday.

The Nigerian international made her presence felt while making her 15th appearance in the Spanish women’s top flight, the Liga F Women round 12 clash.
Her first-half goal saw Sevilla come from a goal down to draw 1-1 at home with their visitors.
After a tense opening few minutes, Naia Landaluze struck in the 34th minute to hand the visiting Athletic Bilbao the lead.
Before the 28-year-old Nigeria scored at the stroke of halftime to make it 1-1 heading into the first half break.
During her ninety-minute display in the game, Payne not only made it onto the scoreboard but also created two scoring opportunities.
Sevilla has been playing so well recently, winning four straight games before coming into the match with Bilbao and hoping to keep up the pace, but they were ultimately halted by their visitors.
With the draw, Sevilla drops to sixth place with 19 points in the 16-team league table, while their visitors remain three points behind in 10th place.
