Payne, who was a key figure in Sevilla’s attack, has already had a taste of life in blue, featuring in Everton’s pre-season friendly against Newcastle United.
The Toffees closed out their pre-season with a tough goalless draw against rivals Liverpool.

However, Payne’s style of play could be the spark Everton needs to break through opposition defences in the WSL.
Now, with pre-season behind her, she’s all set for the real deal as the Toffees kick off their campaign with a thrilling clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.
“I’m always ready for the season to start!” Payne said with a beaming smile during an interview with the club’s official website. “Now that it’s coming this weekend, I’m super excited.”
The 28-year-old winger is looking to hit the ground running and make an instant impact.
After impressing in Spain’s top division, Payne is no stranger to high-pressure moments, and Everton fans will be hoping her pace and creativity can help the club push for higher league standings this season.
