Former Chelsea star – Timo Werner appears to be enjoying life at home while his National teammates are having trouble establishing themselves in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Timo Werner was unable to travel to the World Cup after being diagnosed with an ankle ailment that will likely keep him out for the rest of the year.
Having scored nine goals and provided four assists in 16 games since returning to RB Leipzig from Chelsea, the 26-year-old forward was a contender to win grab a spot in Hansi Flick’s final squad for the tournament.
Sadly for Werner, he was pulled off with an ankle injury 19 minutes into Leipzig’s triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk and was unable to make it to the World Cup.
At the other end, his national teammates are having a very difficult time in the 2022 World Cup as they have only managed to get a point after two games in the group stages.

Germany have played poorly throughout the competition and are currently ranked bottom in Group E with just one point. Prior to coming from behind to hold Spain to a 1-1 draw, they lost their opening match 2-1 to Japan.
Thursday will mark the conclusion of the group stage. In a crucial struggle for survival, Germany will square off against Costa Rica while Spain will face Japan.
But seems Germany international is less concerned about the outcome of the competition in Qatar. The mobile game lover has been at home enjoying PUBG Mobile.
Werner posted on his official Twitter page saying;
“Hi Guys, greetings from the couch! As you know I’m a very passionate gamer and that’s why I’m excited to partner up with one of my favorite mobile games, PUBG MOBILE as one of the new ambassadors! It’s fun to play while I needed to rest the last few days due to my injury. You can download PUBG Mobile for free in the Appstore and Google Play.“
