On Friday evening, the lightning-fast forward, Terem Moffi, netted his first and second goal of the season for OG Nice during their clash against PSG in the French Ligue 1.
The Nigeria Forward kick-started the game by scoring the opening goal in the first half and another in the second half, ultimately helping his team secure a thrilling 3-2 victory at the Parc des Princes.
Nice came out strong, taking the lead just 21 minutes into the match. Kylian Mbappe’s costly error in his own half presented an opportunity to the visiting team, and Moffi capitalized on it with a deflected shot that found the back of the net.
Despite PSG’s efforts to recover, Moffi’s second strike, after a rebound off Hernandez, nestled into the bottom-right corner, bringing the score to 1-0 in favor of the visitors.
Eight minutes later, Mbappe made amends for his earlier mistake with a remarkable goal.
He unleashed a powerful shot from Hakimi’s pass, and though Bulka managed to get a hand on it, the sheer force behind Mbappe’s strike sent the ball into the net, leveling the score at 1-1.
The champions responded vigorously, and Mbappe continued his brilliant performance by scoring again, this time with a thunderous shot from Hakimi’s setup. Bulka couldn’t prevent it from finding the back of the net, and the score became 1-1.
Both Mbappe and Dembele came close to putting PSG in the lead, but just before halftime, Nice had a golden opportunity to make it 2-1, which they unfortunately missed.
After scoring the opening goal, Moffi continued to impress, playing a crucial role in Nice’s second goal in the 53rd minute, setting them on the path to a surprising victory.
Moffi’s exceptional footwork allowed him to outmaneuver Pereira, reach the byline, and deliver a precise cross to the back post.
There, Laborde was perfectly positioned to calmly slot the ball into the net, giving the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
Fifteen minutes later, Moffi received the ball on the right flank and skillfully cut inside onto his left foot, creating the space for a shot.
His strike was not only accurate but also low, finding the bottom corner of the net beyond the outstretched reach of a despairing Donnarumma, extending his team’s lead to 3-1.
Moffi’s exceptional performance played a pivotal role in this exciting match, demonstrating his prowess and helping his team secure a memorable victory.
87th minute, Mbappe secured his second goal, igniting hope for PSG. He skillfully connected with Kolo Muani’s precise deep cross, executing a spectacular volley.
The ball struck the ground, then elegantly sailed over Bulka and into the net, but wasn’t enough to salvage a point for the defending Champions.
Nice held on to secure the win and all three points.
With five games played this season, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward has now notched up two goals and two assists to his name.
Terem Moffi’s performance is one to watch in the coming matches.
