Union Berlin’s remarkable away victory vs SC Freiburg during their Bundesliga game at the Europa-Park Stadium on Saturday saw Taiwo Awoniyi grab an assist to his name.
The Super Eagles forward did not score in Union Berlin’s 4-1 victory over their Bundesliga rival, but he did contribute an assist as the Urs Fischer team took all three points away from home.
The visitors took an early lead after Awoniyi’s cross hit the post, rolled along the line, and Grischa Promel was there to bury it and put Berlin ahead.
With 30 minutes on the clock, Christopher Trimmel scored a brilliant header to make it 2-0.
