During the match, Emem Essien opened the scoring for Edo Queens barely 13 minutes into the game before Merit Offor equalised for Confluence Queens with a stunning goal.

Edo Queens quickly switched the game around from there, with goals from Goodness Osigwe and Chioma Moses steering them to a huge win.NWFL Super Six: We Are Still in Title Race – Confluence Queens Coach After Humiliating Defeat vs Edo Queens

Emem Essien and Goodness Osigwe each completed their braces, sealing the comprehensive victory.

The Kogi-based side were without their first-choice goalkeeper, Sylvia Echefu, who was replaced in the starting lineup by Ruth Ogana, and her absence impacted the team’s performance.

Speaking after the game, the coach indirectly took responsibility for the loss by suggesting that the goalkeeping department, in his opinion, underperformed.Confluence Queens Eye NWFL Super Six Glory After Defeat vs Edo Queens

The coach addressed areas needing improvement, mentioning shortcomings in both goalkeeping and defence.

He expressed optimism, believing a motivational talk could lead to a better performance in the next game.

When asked about his team’s morale following the crushing defeat, Coach Okala, who has a background in psychology, assured that he will motivate his team and prevent them from feeling discouraged.Confluence Queens Eye NWFL Super Six Glory After Defeat vs Edo Queens
