Morocco took an early lead with goals from Ghizlane Chebbak barely 13 minutes into the game and Sanaâ Mssoudy silenced the Nigerian crowd in 24th minute. But the second half belonged to Nigeria.

Esther Okoronkwo converted a penalty in the 64th minute, beginning the comeback. Minutes later, Folashade Ijamilusi made it 2-2.
