Super Falcons Captain, Onome Ebi is looking set to be among the three Legends that will be appearing in the 6th FIFA Senior Women’s World Cup.
The 40-year-old captain admitted that she is privileged to be among the three (3) legends appearing in the 6th FIFA Senior Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Super Falcons star, whose team will take the football pitch against former Olympic champions Canada in the first group match early Friday morning (21/7/2023), by 3:00 am Nigerian time, espoused that one will surpass his or her life goal when you live a life of truth and positivity.
“When you live a life of truth and positivity, you’ll surpass your life goal. For my 6th FIFA Women’s World Cup Appearance, I’m privileged to be among the three (3) Legends,” Onome tweeted on her handle.
The former Rivers Angels defender is hoping to fulfil her long time dream at the international tournament that will run from July 20 to August 20.
The defender has only managed to find back of the net three times in 107 games for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
Canada’s Christine Sinclair and Brazil superstar Marta will be joining the Super Falcons star as the oldest women at the international stage.
Meanwhile, since the Women’s World Cup began in China in 1991, the Super Falcons have competed in every FIFA Women’s World Cup.
