Sunday Adetunji has kicked off the new season with a bang, continuing his top form by helping FC Ballkani secure progress in the Conference League qualifiers.

The Nigerian striker scored again, this time netting the equaliser in a 1-1 away draw against Floriana FC at the Centenary Stadium in Malta, Footballrover reports.

The Kosovo-based club had earlier won the first leg 4-2, thanks to a standout performance by Adetunji, who bagged a brace and an assist in that encounter.

His consistency and goal-scoring ability are proving vital for Ballkani, who aim for a third group stage appearance in the Conference League.

The second leg saw Floriana take the lead in the 38th minute through Dunstan Vella.

But Adetunji had other ideas—he found the net just before halftime, showing why he’s one of Kosovo football’s most impressive forwards.

That goal took his tally to three goals and one assist across both legs—a huge contribution as Ballkani advanced 5-3 on aggregate.

His performance builds on a sensational domestic run where he scored 18 goals in 14 matches last season.

In the first leg, Adetunji and teammate Bleart Tolaj had both scored braces, pulling Ballkani back from behind twice to earn a 4-2 victory at home.

Their combined firepower made the difference across the two legs.

Next Challenge: Shamrock Rovers Await in Final Qualifier

Now, Sunday Adetunji and his Ballkani teammates will have to turn their focus to the final round of the Conference League qualifiers against Shamrock Rovers of Ireland.

The tie will be played over two legs, with the first at home.

With momentum on their side, Ballkani will surely be relying heavily on Adetunji’s red-hot form to break into the group stage once again.

And if his current performance is anything to go by, fans can expect more goals from the Nigerian star.
