Stop playing Iheanacho as lone striker – Fans blast Leicester City coach

Kelechi Iheanacho

Brendan Rodgers’ decision to start Kelechi Iheanacho as a lone striker against Arsenal has been criticised by football fans, lovers, and Leicester City supporters.

All Mikel Arteta’s team needed were goals from Partey and Lacazette to breeze past Leicester and secure all three points in their Premier League game at home.

With the loss, Leicester has now conceded 65 Premier League goals against Arsenal, the most in the competition against any team.

The 25-year-old Nigerian played 73 minutes at the Emirate Stadium, making no impact for his team, received a yellow card 30 minutes into the game and almost earned a red card before being replaced by Daka.

This season, Iheanacho has appeared in 26 games for Leicester City in all competitions, scoring five goals and assisting nine times.

These supporters believe that the Nigerian forward should be paired along side another striker more often, rather than as a lone striker to get the best out of him.

Many supporters expected to see more of Iheanacho and Daka playing together now that Jamie Vardy is sidelined for 3-4 weeks, yet the contrary is happening.

Leicester City supporters are enraged, and they are telling Brendan Rodgers to quit playing Kelechi Iheanacho up front as a lone striker.
