However, rumors suggest that the experienced former Kwara United boss, Abdullahi Biffo, could step in to lead the team for the remainder of the season.

The departure of the tactician was confirmed via the club’s official social media channels.

Sporting Lagos posted a statement expressing gratitude to Coach Paul for his contributions, acknowledging his role in bringing top-flight football back to their city and securing their first piece of silverware in the club’s history.

The statement reads;

Sporting Lagos announces the departure of head Coach Paul Offor. Coach Paul brought top-flight football back to our city and gave us the first piece of silverware in our history. Thank you for everything, coach Paul. We wish you the very best in your future endeavours.”

Currently positioned 11th on the NPFL table with 38 points, Sporting Lagos has had a mixed season, tallying 10 wins, eight draws, and 12 defeats.
