Pre-season Shock: Chukwueze Nets in Villarreal’s Heavy Defeat
Despite Chukwueze’s goal, the Spanish team suffered a surprising 6-1 defeat at the hands of their Swiss opponents at the AFG Arena on Saturday.
Villarreal, who were playing their first pre-season game in preparation for the upcoming campaign, were left stunned by St. Gallen’s dominant display.

Chukwueze, the 24-year-old winger, had an impressive season last year, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 37 appearances in the Spanish topflight.
He will be hoping to build on that performance and contribute even more in the upcoming campaign.
As Villarreal looks to regain their momentum and mount a strong challenge in LaLiga, the Nigerian international’s goal-scoring form will surely be crucial.
