Several Super Eagles players were in superb form for their teams this weekend, with Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho and Obinna Nwobodo all grabbing assists to their names.
While Simon Moses, Joe Aribo and Lookman Ademola were all on target for their various clubs, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho and Obinna Nwobodo also had goal involvement during the weekend.
Simon Moses, 27, kicked off 2022/23 league campaign in French Ligue one with a goal for Nantes, while Joe Aribo and Lookman Ademola both had a fantastic debut games, finding back of the net for Atalanta and Southampton in the Serie A and EPL respectively.
Later on, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho and Obinna Nwobodo capped it off for the Super Eagles’ players by providing assists for their various teams as well on Saturday.

Samuel Chukwueze, who is yet to pull the trigger this season, came off the bench to provide an assist and help Villarreal secure an away 3-0 win over Real Valladolid.
As a second-half substitute for Villarreal, the Super Eagles winger contributed in setting up the second goal for the yellow submarine.
The Nigerian winger came into the contest to replace French midfielder – Francis Coquelin and only managed to play for just 27 minutes.

The 23-year-old had 13 touches of the ball, completed 80% of his passes, and made just one crucial pass that resulted in the assist.
25-year-old Nigerian Midfielder – Obinna Nwobodo also provided an assist as FC Cincinnati were held to a home draw by Atlanta United in the USL Championship.
Obinna Nwobodo, who featured for the whole 90 minutes in the game, turned provider to help FC Cincinnati secure a 2-2 home draw against Atlanta United at the TQL Stadium.
In 16 games for Cincinnati so far, Obinna has recorded just one assist and yet to grab a goal.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Wilfred Ndidi featured as Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to provide an assist for Leicester City in their 4-2 defeat at Arsenal.
Iheanacho made a menacing move at the edge of the penalty area before slipping Maddison a beautiful reverse pass.

The attacker took a touch before launching an excellent shot from a tight angle below Ramsdale and into the net, but it wasn’t enough to save them from the crushing defeat.
