While Simon Moses, Joe Aribo and Lookman Ademola were all on target for their various clubs, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho and Obinna Nwobodo also had goal involvement during the weekend.

Simon Moses, 27, kicked off 2022/23 league campaign in French Ligue one with a goal for Nantes, while Joe Aribo and Lookman Ademola both had a fantastic debut games, finding back of the net for Atalanta and Southampton in the Serie A and EPL respectively.

As a second-half substitute for Villarreal, the Super Eagles winger contributed in setting up the second goal for the yellow submarine.

The Nigerian winger came into the contest to replace French midfielder – Francis Coquelin and only managed to play for just 27 minutes.

Obinna Nwobodo, who featured for the whole 90 minutes in the game, turned provider to help FC Cincinnati secure a 2-2 home draw against Atlanta United at the TQL Stadium.

In 16 games for Cincinnati so far, Obinna has recorded just one assist and yet to grab a goal.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Wilfred Ndidi featured as Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to provide an assist for Leicester City in their 4-2 defeat at Arsenal.
