Nigerian forward Samuel Akere delivered another stunning performance in the Bulgarian First League, grabbing a goal and assist against Beroe to lead Botev Plovdiv to a resounding 6-0 away victory on Wednesday evening.
The 21-year-old has been on a steady rise, and his latest masterclass proved crucial as Botev ran riot in Stara Zagora, Footballrover reports.

Samuel Akere scored the second goal and set up the third, delivering a man-of-the-match display that kept his team firmly in the hunt for European qualification.
Botev Plovdiv got off to a dream start with Nikolay Minkov opening the scoring in the 6th minute.
Samuel Akere doubled the lead midway through the first half, coolly finishing off a clever assist from veteran Ivelin Popov.
Akere then returned the favour in the 66th minute, setting up Popov to make it 3-0.
The Bulgarian legend wasn’t done, grabbing his second goal just two minutes later to push the scoreline to 4-0.
Yanis Karabelyov made it five in the 78th minute before Vinni Triboulet sealed the emphatic win in the 85th, scoring against his former side.
Rising star Akere hits new season benchmark
With his latest goal contributions against Beroe, Akere has now registered eight goals and five assists in 36 appearances for Botev Plovdiv—13 goal involvements in total.
This surpasses his output from last season, where he managed just four goals and three assists in 31 games.
His compatriot Ehije Ukaki also featured briefly, coming on in the 76th minute to replace John Buttigieg.
Botev Plovdiv’s thumping win was a major statement after their 3-0 loss to CSKA Sofia in their last outing.
The team now sits just three points behind CSKA in the Conference League qualification race, with two crucial matches remaining—against Spartak Varna on May 18 and CSKA Sofia on May 26.
With another brilliant goal and assist, Samuel Akere continues to prove himself in the Bulgarian First League.
