Although the NPFL Champions haven’t exactly played consistently during their last five league games, winning just twice, drawing twice, and losing to Doma United, the newcomers.
Nonetheless, Rivers United enjoys a significant lead over Rangers International, having won six of their previous 11 meetings and drawing 0-0 in their most last match at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
With a victory today, the Port Harcourt team would advance to 18 points on the shortened NPFL Group B standings, just one point behind Lobi Stars in first place and three points ahead of Sunshine Stars in third.
