Rivers United FC is gearing up for the 2023/2024 CAF Confederation Cup group stage, and they’ve been given a familiar battleground.

The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo will be their new home ground, as confirmed by CAF’s recent announcement on October 10, Footballrover reports

This venue swap may not come as a complete surprise to fans of the Pride of Rivers.

Last season, in the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup, they made great use of the same stadium, reaching the quarterfinals in front of a 30,000-strong crowd.
