Set to take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, the Angels are fully motivated to claim their ninth FA Cup title, Footballrover reports.

As eight-time champions of the prestigious Women’s Federation Cup, the Rivers Ladies are ready to bring their A-game.

Speaking to the team’s media, Kenneth emphasised the positive atmosphere and rigorous preparation within the camp.

She stated confidently that the Port Harcourt-based team is in a high mood and fully prepared to ensure the trophy does not slip from their hands again.

The captain highlighted that this match represents the last chance to claim silverware for the people of Rivers this season, and the team is determined to make it count.

Kenneth, still reeling from the disappointment of the league title loss, passionately urged her teammates to use that setback as fuel.

I have spoken to my players to channel the anger of missing the league title into their performance on Saturday,” she added.

Commending the support from the Rivers State government, Kenneth praised the motivation provided by the governor through the State Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Christopher Green.

The commissioner’s commitment, including financial incentives such as four million naira and fully paid feeding allowances, has significantly boosted team morale.

Striker Alvine Dah-Zossu also shared insights into the team’s spirit ahead of the match, noting the determination and unity among the players.

We know it won’t be an easy game, but we are ready and hopeful for a positive outcome,” she remarked.

Dah-Zossu acknowledged the strength of their opponents but remained optimistic about their chances, expressing confidence that their hard work and preparation would pay off.

The much-anticipated final, set for a 1 PM kickoff, promises an intense battle as both teams vie for glory.

The Jewels of Rivers are poised to reclaim their dominance, while their Abuja-based counterpart will be so eager to upset the favourites.
