The Super Falcons’ derby in Liga F lived up to expectations as UD Tenerife and Atletico Madrid played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in Round 12 at the Football Field (Adeje).

Featuring three Nigerian stars—Rinsola Babajide, Gift Monday, and Rasheedat Ajibade—the game gave the fans lots of entertainment, Footballrover reports.

Babajide, however, stole the show with a stunning goal that marked her second consecutive strike in the league.

Babajide’s stellar form shines in Liga F

Fresh from international duty, where she played just 17 minutes in the Super Falcons’ narrow 2-1 loss to France, Rinsola Babajide wasted no time in making her mark.

The 26-year-old forward scored her fourth goal of the season, showing off her knack for delivering against top teams.

Her opening goal came in the 25th minute when she skilfully dribbled past her marker on the touchline before beating the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper from a tight angle.

Babajide’s goal separated the teams at halftime, as she continues to push her team forward.

Super Falcons’ stars take centre stage

While Babajide and Gift Monday started for UD Tenerife, Rasheedat Ajibade came off the bench for Atletico Madrid in the 60th minute, replacing Giovana Queiroz.

Shortly after Babajide’s substitution in the 64th minute, Atletico levelled the score through Sheila Guijarro.

The visitors then took the lead in the 85th minute with a strike from Silva Lloris.

Just when it seemed Atletico Madrid would leave with all three points, Maria Jose Perez struck deep into stoppage time to secure a vital point for UD Tenerife.
