Rinsola Babajide put out a stellar performance, leading UD Costa Adeje Tenerife to a resounding 5-0 triumph against Sevilla in their Primera División Femenina showdown on Saturday.
In a display of pure brilliance, Babajide not only found the back of the net herself but also provided three assists, almost single-handedly steering Tenerife to a memorable victory at the Campo de Fútbol de Adeje, Footballrover reports.
Before facing Sevilla, Tenerife had endured a winless streak in 2024, with their last victory dating back to December 9th against Granada.
Last week, they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Barcelona, marking their worst loss in 26 months.
Despite the recent setback, Babajide’s remarkable performance against Sevilla showcased her resilience and talent.
Within just two minutes of kickoff, she set up Thaís Ferreira for Tenerife’s opening goal.
Babajide then added her name to the scoresheet with a spectacular strike from outside the box, leaving Sevilla’s goalkeeper helpless.

Continuing her dominance, she assisted María Estella for Tenerife’s third goal before halftime.
As the game progressed, Belgian forward Jassina Blom extended Tenerife’s lead with a goal just before the break.
Babajide didn’t let up in the second half, providing another assist for María Estella to complete her hat-trick of assists.
After an impressive 78 minutes on the field, Babajide was substituted for compatriot Gift Monday.
Despite Sevilla’s efforts, including the introduction of Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne, they couldn’t mount a comeback against Tenerife’s dominant performance.
Babajide’s contribution highlights her importance to the Tenerife squad since joining from Real Betis last July, with three league goals in 21 appearances.
