He brought in the dynamic duo of Fidelis Ilechukwu, head coach of Rangers International, and Daniel Ogunmodede, the mastermind behind Remo Stars’ rise to prominence, as his assistants for the upcoming clashes against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and the Amavubi of Rwanda, Footballrover reports.

Ilechukwu steered the Flying Antelopes to a stunning victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), while Ogunmodede’s tactical brilliance saw Remo Stars clinch an impressive second place.

Their collaboration promises to bring fresh energy and innovative strategies to the Super Eagles.

Joining them in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, will be Tomaz Zorec, a seasoned fitness trainer from Slovenia, along with goalkeeper coach Olatunji Baruwa and match analyst Eboboritse Uwejamomere, rounding out a formidable backroom team.

The three-time African champions, along with their officials, are set to arrive in Uyo on Monday to begin preparations for their high-stakes showdown against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

The match is slated for Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 5:00 PM (Nigerian time) at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

After the Benin Republic clash, the Super Eagles will take off for Kigali, Rwanda, on Sunday, where they will face the Amavubi (Bees) of Rwanda in a crucial Match Day 2 encounter at the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM (Nigerian time).
