Reece James has been pictured with a new haircut, looking sharper and more youthful, but he is completely distraught currently because the knee injury could prevent him from competing in the World Cup.
The 22-year-old defender, who appeared to have secured a starting position in England national team, has characterized the knee injury that could prevent him from competing in the World Cup as “devastating.”
The Chelsea right-back, however, promised to exert every effort to play in Qatar. Who wouldn’t, really? Considering the fact that it’s where the big boys want to bang bang.
The England international was hurt during Chelsea’s Champions League victory at Milan last week, and after seeing a doctor, his recovery time was set at eight weeks.
An injury update on Reece James.

James’ absence from the competition would be a major setback for England and Gareth Southgate will obviously be faced with a selection dilemma on the right side of his defense.
While Liverpool right-back – Trent Alexander-Arnold has faced criticism for his recent form, Kyle Walker of Manchester City is trying to recover from an abdominal injury that he sustained earlier this month.
But last week, Graham Potter assured Chelsea fans and England that Reece James will strive to recover in time for the competition, and the defender has since made a matching commitment.
James said on his YouTube channel;
“It’s obviously devastating and you know the World Cup is only a month away. As a kid, growing up, I always wanted to go and this is my first opportunity. I’ll do everything I can to try to be there, but I’m obviously devastated. Just [the] injury came at the wrong time.“
The Chelsea defender added;
“But every day, we need to be grateful and thankful. I’ll keep you updated with what’s happening on a day-to-day basis, and I’ll touch base soon.”

In less than a month, England will play Iran in their Group B opener to start their World Cup campaign.
