With three goals and three assists for the Super Falcons at the WAFCON 2022, all of which were game-winners, Rasheedat Ajibade is establishing herself as the Super Star of the Nigerian National Team.
As they take on the hosts – Morocco in the semi-final on Monday, the Super Falcons now have a chance to win the $500,000 WAFCON trophy.
Although Cameroon still has a chance to advance to the World Cup, Nigeria has secured the spot that was at stake for these two. Both teams qualified for the final tournament in France in 2019.
The Indomitable Lionesses may still make it to the 2023 world cup in Australia and New Zealand even though they are no longer in contention for the African title.
If they prevail in Sunday’s rematch against Botswana and go to the intercontinental playoffs, they and the other eliminated quarterfinalists will have the chance to stay in the running.
