Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade delivered a standout performance in Spanish Liga F, grabbing an important assist to help Atlético Madrid secure an early advantage away to Levante UD on Sunday afternoon.

The match, part of Liga F’s matchday 27, ended dramatically despite a strong start by the visitors, Footballrover reports.

The Nigerian star registered her third Liga F assist of the season, pushing her tally to 10 goal contributions in 21 appearances—six league goals, three assists, plus a goal in the Copa de la Reina.

It marked a major personal milestone, as it was her first goal involvement since January 18, 2025, when she scored against Levante Badalona.

Rasheedat Ajibade ends 75-day wait with key assist against Levante

Prior to her assist against Levante, Rasheedat Ajibade had endured a 75-day stretch without a goal or assist, featuring in seven matches during that span.

On Sunday, she made a powerful statement, completing the most dribbles (2) during the game and showing off her trademark attacking flair before being substituted in the 82nd minute for Synne Jensen.

Atlético Madrid raced into a commanding lead at Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol, with Fiamma opening the scoring just 23 minutes into the match.

Ana Vitória added a second only five minutes later, and with Rasheedat Ajibade’s assist playing a critical role, the visitors looked poised for a comfortable win.

Ajibade’s impact not enough for Atlético Madrid

However, Levante UD refused to back down. Ivonne Chacón pulled a goal back for the hosts three minutes before halftime, injecting life into the contest.

Levante completed their comeback when Ángela Sosa converted a penalty, ensuring a thrilling 2-2 draw by full-time.

Despite the frustrating outcome, Atlético Madrid maintained third place in the Liga F standings with 49 points.

The team will now have to shift their focus to a crucial derby clash against Athletic Club next Sunday, with Rasheedat Ajibade hoping to continue her resurgent form.
