Rangers Rule in Uyo
Nigeria Premier League champions, Enugu Rangers International, kicked off their CAF Champions League journey with a bang, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Comoros’ US Zilimadjou.
It was a historic clash, with neither side having faced off before, Footballrover reports.
The Flying Antelopes were in good spirits as they cruised past their visitors in the 22nd minute thanks to a clinical finish from Frank Uwumiro.
Despite creating numerous other scoring opportunities, the Coal City side couldn’t convert, leaving the door slightly ajar for the Comorians.
The return leg promises yet another thrilling encounter as both teams lock horns again next Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
