In preparation for the start of the second stanza of the Nigerian League, Enugu Rangers have confirmed the addition of talented midfielder Rabiu Zulkifilu to their team.
This move strengthens their squad just as the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) prepares for a restart on February 14th, Footballrover reports.
The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Flying Antelopes with a heart full of ambition and childhood dreams.
In an interview with club media, he declared that Rangers are the perfect club for his development. According to him, the rich history and passionate fans thrill him to be a part of it.
Playing for the Rangers has been a long-held aspiration for Zulkifilu, as he has always wanted to be part of the great team since he started playing professionally.
“Rangers is my dream team; I have loved the team since I started playing professional football,” he said.
But his dreams go beyond wearing the iconic jersey of the Coal City side; Zulkifilu is determined to make a significant impact on the pitch.
He revealed his willingness to make sacrifices for the team, the coach, and his own career development.
His arrival wasn’t met with just on-field expectations. Zulkifilu showered praise on the warm welcome he received.
The love from the Enugu community and club management has been incredible, he revealed.
Zulkifilu isn’t the only new face gracing Rangers’ team; five other signings, as reported by Footballrover, join to bolster the team’s depth and talent.
Currently sitting in 8th place with 28 points, just 8 behind leaders Lobi Stars, Rangers hope these reinforcements will propel them up the NPFL table.
With Zulkifilu’s talent and dedication, combined with the team’s newfound depth, exciting times lie ahead for the Flying Antelopes!
