Chelsea are through to the last eight after overcoming Lille in the Champions League last-16 second leg at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, thanks to goals from Pulisic and Azpilicueta.
Chelsea resumed their European title defence despite the club’s troubled times, having taken a 2-0 first-leg lead at Stamford Bridge last month.
Chelsea produced a composed attitude after the break to earn passageway to the Champions League quarter-finals with a regulation victory despite facing some challenges in the first half, notably while narrowly falling behind.

With victories on both sides, the champions would have eliminated a valiant but ultimately constrained Lille team, whose realistic ambitions were dashed when Pulisic equalised in first-half stoppage time.
While Chelsea’s concentration will now switch to Friday’s last-eight draw, Lille must aim to make a late push for a Champions League qualification position for next season, with a crucial match against Nantes next up on Saturday.
