Recall that Onuachu struck in the 70th minute last weekend to snatch a crucial point in a 1-1 draw.

Just seven days later, the Nigerian forward delivered once more, scoring in back-to-back games—first with a stunning overhead kick, then calmly converting from the spot.

The 31-year-old bagged Trabzonspor’s second and third goals as they powered to a 4-3 victory over Fatih Karagümrük in their Round 7 clash at the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı in Istanbul.

Onuachu was a constant menace to the Karagümrük defence, drawing four fouls — the most by any player on the pitch.

Yet, that physical attention couldn’t slow him down, as he handed Trabzonspor a commanding 3-1 lead before the half-time break.

Remarkably, Onuachu has already scored five goals in just seven appearances for Trabzonspor — surpassing the total he managed in 28 games for his former club, Southampton.

The visitors struck first in the 20th minute as Felipe Augusto converted from Wagner Pina’s clever pass. Karagümrük responded quickly—Tiago Çukur levelled the score in the 28th minute, finishing off a fine move assisted by Sam Larsson.

Trabzonspor regained the lead in the 35th minute when Onuachu powered home a beautiful acrobatic volley, again set up by Wagner Pina.

The towering striker then extended the advantage deep into first-half stoppage time from the penalty spot.

Trabzonspor looked to have sealed the game in the 88th minute when Danylo Sikan made it 4-1, latching onto Tim Jabol-Folcarelli’s precise pass.

But the hosts refused to go quietly. David Datro Fofana struck twice in quick succession—first in the 92nd minute and again just a minute later—to set up a dramatic finish.

Ultimately, Trabzonspor held on to claim a thrilling 4-3 victory in Istanbul.
