Nigerian striker Olamide Adugbe is bringing her energy, skill, and European experience to MFK Žalgiris after officially sealing her move to the Lithuanian club.
The former Rivers Angels and Napoli Femminile forward joins a growing Nigerian presence at Žalgiris, where she will line up alongside compatriots Olamide Oyinola and Joy Duru, Footballrover reports.
Adugbe’s arrival is seen as a boost to Žalgiris’ attack as they aim to climb higher in both the Lithuanian League and the Baltic Women’s Football League.

Žalgiris women are assembling a dynamic squad, and with Adugbe’s signing, they now have three Nigerian players strengthening their setup.
The 22-year-old attacker comes with valuable experience from Italy’s Serie A and Serie B, having played for Napoli and FC Freedom Women.

Adugbe began her career in Nigeria with Rivers Angels, where she honed her scoring instincts.
In September 2024, she made the leap to Europe, signing for Napoli Femminile, where she featured in six matches and made one assist in Italy’s top division.
Seeking more game time, she moved to Serie B side Freedom FC, where her talent flourished—despite minor injury setbacks.
— “I realised that in order to get more playing time, I had to change the environment, so at the beginning of this year I moved to the Freedom W team, which plays in the Serie B championship. I really did well there; I played a lot, I had a great coach and teammates, and the biggest problem was only minor injuries, which prevented me from demonstrating my best qualities. I really hope that there will be no problems with injuries in Vilnius and that I will be able to play at full strength,” the Žalgiris rookie said.
Focused and Fired Up: Adugbe’s Mission at MFK Žalgiris
The young forward says she is fully committed to helping the team hit their goals.
Her focus is clear: score goals and contribute as much as she can in Lithuania’s growing women’s league.
— “I’m ready to give my best. This is a new environment, and I’m here to work hard and improve,” Adugbe said after her arrival.
