In the thrilling match at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium, Ighalo found the back of the net in both halves, contributing to a 3-3 deadlock between the two sides, Footballrover reports.

The Nigerian international left the stadium buzzing with an early goal just 20 minutes into the game, only to see the visitors level the score through Musa Barrow eight minutes later.

Al-Wehda reclaimed the lead with a goal from Fayçal Fajr before Mateus equalised for Al-Taawoun just before halftime.

The second half witnessed a fierce battle, with Ighalo striking again in the 74th minute to give his team the lead for the third time.

However, Mateus secured a brace as well for the visiting side, ensuring the match ended in a draw.

With this impressive performance, Ighalo has boosted his season’s goal tally to 12 in 20 games for Al-Wehda.

Despite playing for 89 minutes, the 34-year-old Nigerian forward managed to unleash over four shots, with two finding the target.

With this draw, Al-Wehda remains in 10th position, trailing their opponents by 12 points. Next on the agenda for Ighalo and his teammates is a visit to Damac next Thursday.
